Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is conveniently located and ideal for both work and leisure. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast offered was good. However, the lack of a fridge was a downside, and some areas could use improvements.
The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. The rooms were in terrible condition and only had 2 pillows, but they did offer a better view, which was a plus. The service was generally great, with kind and friendly staff, despite some confusion at times. The location was exceptional, providing a relaxing atmosphere but making it uncomfortable to charge electronics. Dining had both great variety and boring, repetitive dishes. The facilities overall were acceptable.
I felt like the hotel was in the perfect spot, close to everything happening and with a good breakfast. My room was ready and comfortable, and any changes were swift. However, I witnessed a bit of confusion among the staff upon my arrival which was unsettling after a long journey.
The Federal Palace offers good value at roughly half the price of other Lagos hotels at $400 a night. The location is exceptional, overlooking the port of Lagos with amazing passing ships every hour. Rooms are neat and comfortable with impressive king-size beds, although more suitable for children. The dining options are good and varied, although a bit monotonous at times.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, near a bustling road but centrally located for easy access to various areas. However, the room setup was inconvenient with no central light switch, and the service, while well-groomed and friendly, had some delays like waiting an hour for a drink at the bar.
